A big boy bed experience with Endy

I’ll never forget the first sleep after Charlie was born. We had to stay over night at the hospital for observation. My birth plan had gone out the window and Charlies arrival earth side was as wild and as spontaneous as his personality is now.
SISU Vitamins tricked my son

For the busy mom with the finicky or picky eater this one is for you.
If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting Charlie you will know he is funny, wild, always on the go and ready to play. He’s a sweet, caring, thoughtful, confident little boy who is often super independent for his age. What you probably don’t know is that meal time in our house is sometimes an obstacle course full of me begging “please sit down and eat your food”, “you only need 3 more bites”, “c’mon buddy food helps to keep your body strong so you can play” etc etc. It doesn’t matter if we are at a restaurant, a friends house or our own house. Eating in Charlie’s world is boring and not necessary, DUH, there’s clearly so many more cool things to do and discover in this world that are far more fun than sitting down to eat. That’s how Charlie sees it anyway.
6 Cheap activities for moms & kids in Miami

A couple of weeks ago Charlie and I had the opportunity to hit up Miami and met up with Charlie’s best friend and his mom. I’ve had the opportunity to travel a ton with Charlie, but I’ve never travelled solo with him during his toddler years. I gotta say I was super impressed and also secretly really stoked and proud that my little dude has turned out to be an independent traveler who knows how to navigate the airport world like a boss.
Let’s go to the Ex!

If you grew up in Toronto you know the CNE marks the end of the summer. Seeing as I don’t have Charlie this Labour Day weekend, I took the opportunity to hit up the CNE with him last week. We had tons of fun and as a Mom I learned a few valuable lessons so I’m sharing my experience with you all, along with HOT TIPS for surviving and having a successful CNE adventure.
I’m not cutting Charlie’s hair

The first and most important reason is because I watched my son pull at his hair in anger, cry and scream and say “ I HATE MY HAIR, I WANT TO CUT MY HAIR SO I CAN LOOK LIKE A BOY, LIKE PERSON SO & SO” I won’t name “person so & so” because they are irrelevant. What is relevant in this post is the fact that my 3 year old who is the sweetest, most sensitive, loving, gentle, caring boy you will ever meet (I’m not saying that ‘cause he’s my kid, it’s actually how people describe him) does not have the level of comprehension to express himself in that manner and yet he was.
DIY- Superhero backdrop

I had way too much fun prepping for Charlie’s 3rd Birthday Party so obviously I have to share my DIY’s with you. First things first, your local dollar store is going to be your best friend! Seriously, all the supplies I purchased came from my local dollar store.
Charlie turns 3 Superhero Style

I always knew when I had kids I would want to pass on the tradition of epic home made birthday parties. Charlie’s 1st Birthday was Carnival themed and I went over the top. I made party hats, paper rosettes, a sprinkle birthday cake, his bandana bib and so much more. We Had Sarah Monika Photography capture the day and she did an amazing job. If you ever need an amazing photographer I totally recommend her. Charlie’s 2nd Birthday Party was at a lovely play place in Vaughan called The Play Cube. Honestly, I did nothing hand made for this birthday and thats just the way life is sometimes and we gotta roll with the punches.
Go The F@#% To Sleep

When Charlie was first born we had to use the bouncy ball, the rocking method, the driving method, the fall asleep on the boob method, the fall asleep with him method, the co-sleeping method and every other freakin’ method you could think of for Charlie to fall asleep.
